DSM-5 and DefiniPoint

DefiniPoint Updated to Reflect DSM-5 ADHD Revisions

June, 2013 - At the annual meeting of the American Psychiatric Association, the much anticipated revision of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders was released.  The fifth edition (DSM-5) updates the criteria for the diagnosis and classification of mental disorders including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

DefiniPoint has been updated to reflect these DSM changes. Assessment instruments in DefiniPoint can be used to gather symptom information based on DSM-5 diagnostic criteria. DefiniPoint instruments are psychometrically valid and can be used for initial ADHD evaluations and follow-up management.
